Directly on the shore of the shimmering Lake Åsunden, nestled in the gentle hills of western Sweden, lies a very special place: Skotteksgården Camping & Stugby. What is today a popular holiday paradise once began with a simple yet powerful vision.
When the Ellinger family discovered this unique piece of land, it was above all the peace of nature, the vastness of the lake, and the special atmosphere that immediately struck them. This was to become a place where people can escape everyday life and reconnect with themselves – a place for genuine encounters, family time, and unforgettable moments.
Johanna and Günter Ellinger originally come from Austria (Alp Art Hotel) and spend the winter months in Tyrol. This connection between the Alps and the Swedish lake landscape strongly shapes their special hospitality and their love of nature.
With great passion, hard work, and attention to detail, they have gradually developed Skotteksgården into what it is today: a family-run campsite with cosy holiday homes and apartments.
From the very beginning, the focus was not on growth at any cost, but on the feeling of being welcome. Guests should not simply spend their holidays here – they should arrive. Feel at home. Become part of a small community.
Today, Skotteksgården offers a unique combination of nature, comfort, and warmth. Whether swimming in the lake, enjoying evenings together at the barbecue, exploring adventures in the surrounding forests, or simply embracing the silence – everyone can find their own personal holiday moment here.
